Original one-of-a-kind painting
This painting began as an experiment with fluid acrylic techniques. I was exploring the unpredictable beauty of Fluid Art, allowing colors to move freely across the surface and create organic textures and shapes. At first, the result felt abstract and mysterious. When I looked at the forms more closely, they reminded me of white swans gliding across dark water.
Later, I decided to continue the work with oil paint using the impasto technique, adding expressive textured strokes. The white shapes gradually transformed into elegant yachts sailing together across the water — like a graceful regatta moving quietly through the evening sea.
For me, painting is always a dialogue between intuition and imagination. Each artwork represents a specific moment in the artist’s life. This painting lived for a long time in our family country house, where it was originally created. The house has large stained-glass windows from floor to ceiling overlooking the Ob Sea. From the second floor, especially in the evenings, you can see magnificent sunsets above the water. That inspiring view often influenced my creative process, and the calm movement of yachts across the water seemed to echo the peaceful atmosphere of those evenings.
Every painting is a chapter of the artist’s life story. This work carries the memory of experimentation, discovery, and the quiet inspiration that comes from living near open water and watching the changing sky.
