Moon Bridge

The painting depicts an old city in the evening. In the center of the composition is a stone bridge with arched spans, thrown over a quiet river. Its ancient masonry, covered with moss and traces of time, casts soft shadows into the water, giving the scene a special depth.

Lighting plays a key role: rare lanterns along the embankment and on the bridge itself burn with a warm yellow light that softly dissipates in the evening air. This light is reflected in the water, creating the illusion of a celestial body – as if gliding along the surface of the river, although the Earth’s satellite itself is not visible. Reflections tremble from the light current, creating a play of glare and light, similar to a living watercolor.
