Marble Guards, 23×30 cm, acrylic, canvas on fiberboard, 2025 year

The painting “Marble Guardians” depicts an ancient city, covered by rain, like a veil of the past.

In the foreground rises a building with majestic marble columns. These columns are like silent guardians of time: strict, monumental, they watch the flow of life, remaining unchanged among the changing eras. Their surface is covered with thin veins and traces of time, like ancient scars, each of which keeps history.

In the rain, passers-by walk slowly, sheltered under umbrellas. Their silhouettes blur in the drops, as if dissolving in this eternal city. Someone is in a hurry, someone walks slowly, thoughtfully – and each of them for a moment becomes part of this living picture, part of the history that the columns observe.

The atmosphere is filled with the silence of the rain – a light rustle of drops on umbrellas and stone. In this sound – peace, sadness and the beauty of transience. The city seems not just a place, but a living being: it breathes rain, remembers people, sees dreams about the past.
