Lilas and Reeds-2

The painting depicts a peaceful landscape of a lake covered with a water surface strewn with white and pinkish lilies. The petals of the flowers sway delicately on the water, reflecting a soft light, as if gently illuminated by the sun. The surface of the lake is calm, almost mirror-like, reflecting the sky and the shadow of the coastal thickets.
Along the shore there are dense thickets of reeds – tall, slender stems with fluffy panicles, swaying in a light breeze. The reeds create a natural frame for the central water space, as if protecting the solitude of the lake from the outside world. Their rich green color contrasts with the delicate shades of lilies and blue water.
