My name is Marina Beikmane. I live and work in Latvia. It’s a beautiful land on
the Baltic sea coast. All my paintings are unique originals.
My education: 5 years of study at a Technical University, diploma in mechanical engineering of chemical equipment.
I’m primarily self-taught. Although I attended some on-line acrylic courses, a course of classical Russian oil painting,many of my techniques I have learned by experimenting, using brushes, palette knife, textures. I like learning and I can’t stop to wonder how much awesome things there are in the world around us.
Through my paintings I aim to demonstrate all the beauty of the world and show my emotions to my audience. Everything around us is changing. I would like to pick up on the spirit of it, and capture it perfectly! Each my painting has a sweet part of my life included, my impressions, part of my soul.
I paint the nature of Latvia and Britain as I often visit these beautiful countries, but I take my paints and canvas with me wherever I travel. I adore the narrow old streets of Mediterranean towns and the endless blue sea, gorgeous mountains in the NP of the USA and the European Alps, autumn forests and snow-covered parks. I had 2 personal exhibitions in the UK and Latvia. Many of my artworks are kept in private collections worldwide: Latvia, UK, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Denmark, France, Spain, India, USA, Canada and Russia. My favorite canvas size is miniature. I find that expressing yourself on a small canvas is much more difficult than on a large one.
I made my paintings from my heart with love. I hope some of them can touch your heart.
