Before the Storm

Before the Storm 30×30 cm, acrylic, canvas on fiberboard, 2025 year

The painting depicts a tense moment before a storm—nature seems to hold its breath. A calm bay stretches out in the depths of the composition, its surface still reflecting the setting sun, but already beginning to darken under the weight of gathering clouds. The water seems motionless, as if frozen in anticipation.

Slender blades of grass rise from the coastal water—fragile yet stubborn. They stretch upward, catching the last rays of light that pierce the gathering gloom. These blades of grass create a sense of life and quiet resistance in the face of the approaching elements.

The sky plays a central role: thick, almost black clouds slowly absorb the sun. It still struggles to break through their thickness, spilling warm golden-orange hues along the edges of the clouds. This contrast of light and darkness imbues the scene with drama and inner tension.

The entire painting is permeated with a sense of transition—from calm to storm, from light to darkness. It is a moment of fragile balance, when the world is still quiet, but already senses the inevitable force of nature.
