About the Artwork
“Tell Me, Vincent, Did You See This?” is the opening work of the conceptual series “Tell Me About Van Gogh.”
The title itself is a question — not rhetorical, but intimate — addressed across time to an artist whose life and vision were often misunderstood.
In this series, the cat is not a character, but an allegory of perception and presence — a silent witness, a carrier of inner tension, and a metaphor for the artist’s gaze.
In this particular work, the image is intentionally fragmented.
Different shapes, unstable colors, and eyes painted in different hues reflect a disoriented inner world — a life experienced as complex, confusing, and difficult to reconcile with reality.
This artwork is not an illustration or a portrait.
It is a state of being.
